Nurse practitioners are available by appointment for evaluation 和 treatment of common medical illnesses, preventative health screenings 和 physical exams for health promotion, women’s health services, injury evaluation, immunizations, 和 chronic disease. 为 medical services beyond the scope of practice of the 学生健康中心, students will be referred to local specialists with guidance 和 coordination of care by a 学生健康中心提供者.

On the day of injection, if 你 are prescribed an EpiPen, 你 are required to bring it with 你 to the appointment in order to receive 你r scheduled allergy injection. It is important for 你 to tell the nurse if 你 are not feeling well 在 day of 预定的注射，如果你对之前的注射有反应, 或者如果你正在服用新的药物.

班级请假政策

的 SHC does not provide medical excuses for missed classes, exams, or assignments.  If the student is seen by an SHC provider a secure message can be sent to 你r patient portal confirming the appointment but approval of the absence or missed assignment 由教授决定吗. 

If a student is hospitalized, experiences a prolonged illness or is recovering from a serious injury, the student needs to contact the Division of Student Affairs or 残疾支援服务.
